In a multi-user environment, if everyone were to place jobs wherever they wanted you would soon have chaos. It would not be long before someone moved or deleted someone elses job so theirs could be scheduled where they wanted it. If you ask the scheduler to place all jobs on the schedule board, he will soon be overworked by forcing one person to key in every single job.

Allowing each salesperson to enter their own information and ensuring that no salesperson can modify any other salespersons schedule information, the scheduler now has complete control without the extra work of entering information that the salesperson knows best.
